Soldiers Invade Salfeet Again
On the 19th of October at 10.30 am, 5 army jeeps entered the city of Salfeet which is the governorate of the Salfeet area. This vulnerable area is surrounded by 19 Palestinian villages and 23 rapidly expanding illegal settlements. The army often provokes inhabitants of Salfeet without any justification.
On this particular morning, the Israeli army started circling round the area where the schools are and after half an hour of futile driving through the town they began to shoot teargas canisters and sound bombs near the boys school during the children’s break. Many children were afraid and one was injured by the teargas.
The soldiers then left the village. Fortunately, no one was arrested.
The soldiers came back after midnight to repeat the same unacceptable invasion and provocation. No one was arrested or injured. Hopefully Salfeet will no longer face such repeated dehumanisations and the jobs of the Israeli soldiers will become obsolete.
